So after a very stressful sequence of events I decided to go to Boulder this weekend to get some paint. Boulder is a great place to find different types of paint. If you look around there are some pretty admirable pieces. The atmosphere is more artistic than street, but still a good resource.
There are several art stores which sell good paint, but at pretty high price. Go to McGuckins if your into that cheap stuff (I don’t condone stealing paint). My personal favorite spot is the Root on the hill.
After breakfast on Pearl St we were driving north when I noticed a case of Montana Gold in the window of Guirys Paint. I stopped in to check it out, and not only did they have Gold Montana they had tons of cheap colors. The Montana was in a black case locked up and the sales associate had no knowledge about the paint. At first she told me they sold it for $15- $17 a can, I asked her to double check in disbelief she came back and said it was $10-13 a can. Suprisingly Guirys had every color (including gloss), but I can’t bring myself to spend that much.

I always get my paint at the root on the hill. They have caps, cans, markers, and a knowledgeable staff. They seemed to be out of a lot of colors. I was particularly interested in the MTN 94 cans, and they about 8 colors left. I scooped all the colors and the sales man “Christopher” gave me a discount because I bought more than a 6-pack. He told me that they usually give $3 off per 6-pack but since I bought 10 cans he just gave 10% off. I also picked up about 20 caps, they had special dual pressure caps for the MTN 94.
